Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens

Nestled within a mysterious park, you will find a sparkling fairy-tale landscape that invites you to dream. In 1995, multimedia artist André Heller created a place of wonder in 14 underground chambers to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Swarovski.

The ever-changing crystal attire of the rooms reflects the spirit of innovation and dynamism that are the guiding principles of the world's leading manufacturer of precision-cut crystals.

Zillertal dairy experience with farm show

Experience the entire process of hay milk production and the creation of hay milk products at the dairy show. On 6,000 m² of glass-enclosed production space, cheese, yogurt, butter, and much more are made. The Sennerei Zillertal is only about 16 kilometers from us! Fichtenschloss and Fichtensee - Rosenalm

Fichtenschloss

The Fichtenschloss on the Rosenalm in Zell am Ziller is a paradise for the whole family. You can climb, slide, explore the Fichtenwichtel wooden ball track and the hammock forest, as well as the water play and sand play areas, or simply enjoy the stunning views.

Fichtensee

An observation platform offers views of the surrounding mountain scenery, a boat rental invites you to go rowing, and the relaxation niches and swings are perfect for unwinding. Natural Ice Palace at the Hintertux Glacier

The Natural Ice Palace at the Hintertux Glacier is a unique natural treasure and an ideal year-round destination for the whole family. DISCOVERED BY CHANCE by Roman Erler! The entrance to the ice cave is just a 3 to 4-minute walk from the top station of the Glacier Bus 3. On guided tours, you are invited to step into the magnificent world deep beneath the ski slopes. Visitors explore a walkable glacier crevice with magical ice stalactites, enormous sparkling ice crystals, frozen waterfalls, and even a glacier lake.

Jenbacher Museum

In the Jenbach Museum, 700 m² of exhibition space in 19 rooms feature the following topics with exhibits, photos, and documents:

  • Industry: Scythe production, Jenbach Works, railways
  • Nature: Butterflies, birds, mushrooms, snails, and shells
  • Sports: Alpine and winter sports
  • History: The history of Jenbach, notable individuals from Jenbach, the South Tyroleans of 1939

Achensee Dampf-Zahnradbahn

The world’s oldest purely steam-operated cogwheel locomotives are over 117 years old. Whistling locomotives, hissing and steaming valves, pounding pistons, and hammering exhaust sounds ensure an unforgettable steam train experience. From Jenbach Station, you can reach Lake Achensee, the largest lake in Tyrol, with a 16% gradient and a 45-minute journey. There is a direct connection to Achensee shipping services.

Schloss Tratzberg

Built in the year 1500 high above the Inn Valley between Jenbach and Stans, the castle originally served as a hunting lodge for Emperor Maximilian I and the Fugger family. This late Gothic architectural gem was richly furnished during the Renaissance and has been the residence of the Count Enzenberg family since 1848. Well-preserved and fully furnished, Tratzberg Castle offers visitors a fascinating "audio tour" (with a fairy-tale version for children) that vividly conveys the history of the era in an engaging way.

Krimmler Wasserfälle

The Krimml Waterfalls, the largest in Europe, with an impressive drop of 380 meters over three tiers, are the fifth highest waterfalls in the world. A hiking trail created by the Austrian Alpine Club (OeAV) leads directly to this breathtaking natural spectacle. With its ever-changing shows, the Zeiss Planetarium is a cosmic cinema.

Haus der Völker

The only folklore museum in Western Austria showcases more than 1,000 exhibits from the collection of Tyrolean Africa expert and photographer Gert Chesi, spread over 1,000 m² of exhibition space. The majority of the museum is dedicated to Africa and its art and culture; significant Buddha representations form the core of the Asian collection, alongside Chinese artifacts.

Schwazer Silberbergwerk

Experience a fascinating adventure underground at the Schwaz Silver Mine. The exciting journey back to the silver-rich medieval past begins with a highlight: a ride on a train 800 meters deep into the Sigmund Erbstollen, which was opened in 1491. The Schwaz miners had the best mining expertise of their time, making Schwaz the largest mining metropolis in Central Europe and the second-largest settlement in the Habsburg Empire.

Rattenberg

Nestled closely along the Inn River, the medieval town of Rattenberg clings to the Schlossberg. In the carefully restored houses, the nearly 600 residents of Rattenberg live—making it the smallest city in Austria. Rattenberg is also known as the "Glass City." Here, you'll find everything that gives glass its special beauty: engraved and painted glass, crystal glass, plates, cups, bowls, and more. You can also watch glassblowers at work.

Wolfsklamm St. Georgenberg

More than 100 years have passed since the Wolfsklamm in Stans was opened. Thousands of visitors have already experienced this unique natural spectacle, where the Stallenbach River, with its gradient, creates white foamy cascades or emerald-green reflections in the depths. The bridges and wooden walkways are masterpieces of craftsmanship, spanning 354 meters up to Georgenberg, where the Karwendel Alpine Park begins.

Museumsfriedhof "Ohne Tote"

A visit to the town of Rattenberg can be ideally combined with a tour of the so-called Musterfriedhof. In the "Cemetery Without the Dead," meticulously created by the Guggenberger family, treasures of old craftsmanship have found a worthy place. Visitors can reflect on the nature of life and death through the inscriptions, which evoke both joy and contemplation.

The Museum of the Hall Mint – the cradle of the thaler and today's dollar – delves into a past where wealth was represented by actual coins, money had a magical allure, and currency was as solid as the material it was minted from.
